Optional Extras

• Official Marriage Certificate – $105: I can organise and order your Official Marriage Certificate through NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages on your behalf. This is entirely optional and includes the BDM certificate fee and my administration service.
• Bluetooth PA System – $50: Available for Petite Legals Only ceremonies. Conditions apply – see PA System and Ceremony Music below.
• Additional Ritual – $50 each: Available for Simple Legals, Elopement and Petite Legals ceremonies, where suitable. Additional rituals for other packages may also be arranged.
• Wedding Rehearsal – $75: Available for packages where a rehearsal is not already included. Couples supply props.

Some rituals may require additional materials, external suppliers or venue approval. Any extra costs will be discussed beforehand.

Official Marriage Certificate

The commemorative Marriage Certificate provided with selected packages is a keepsake and is not the Official Marriage Certificate issued by NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages.

You may order your Official Marriage Certificate yourself directly through BDM once your marriage has been registered, or I can organise it for you for the optional fee listed above.

If you choose to order it yourself, BDM determines the processing and delivery times, and you will be responsible for following up your application if necessary.

Travel and Additional Fees

Travel within 30 km of Kurmond is included in all ceremony packages.

For locations beyond this distance, additional travel is charged at $2.50 per kilometre beyond the included 30 km.

Any applicable tolls, parking fees, venue hire and council permits are the responsibility of the couple.

All additional costs will be discussed and confirmed before your booking is finalised.

Ritual Options

A ritual can be a beautiful way to add something personal and meaningful to your ceremony.

Some options include:

PA System and Ceremony Music

My Bluetooth PA system is included in the Short and Sweet and Fully Bespoke packages and is available for Petite Legals Only ceremonies for an additional $50.

The system includes a microphone and allows your chosen ceremony music to be played through a compatible Bluetooth device.

If you would like music during your ceremony, please provide three songs:

• Entrance Song – For your entrance.
• Signing Song – While signing your marriage documents.
• Conclusion Song – As you make your exit as a married couple.

Please note that I do not personally operate or play the ceremony music. You will need to arrange for a family member, friend or designated person to play your chosen songs at the appropriate times.

I will provide your nominated person with a music schedule outlining when each song is to be played.

Please ensure your music is organised and ready to play from a compatible Bluetooth device before the ceremony.

Important Information

• I generally arrive approximately 30 minutes before standard ceremonies and 15 minutes before Elopement and Legals Only ceremonies.
• Venue bookings, permissions, permits and council approvals are the responsibility of the couple.
• Guest numbers and ceremony arrangements must remain within the inclusions of your chosen package.
• Any changes to your ceremony date, time or location must be requested and confirmed in writing.

Booking Fees and Payments

A 50% booking fee is required to secure your wedding date, payable at your NOIM meeting unless otherwise arranged.

The remaining balance is due 14 days before your ceremony.

For Simple Legals – Paper Only Ceremonies, full payment of $395 is required at the time of booking.

Your wedding date is confirmed once your booking has been accepted and the required payment has been received.

Cancellations, postponements and refunds are subject to your Celebrant Service Agreement and applicable Australian Consumer Law.

NOIM and Legal Requirements

Under Australian marriage law, your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be received by an authorised marriage celebrant at least one calendar month and no more than 18 months before your wedding date.

Before your marriage can take place, you will need to:

• Lodge your completed NOIM within the required timeframe.
• Provide identification and supporting documents.
• Provide evidence of how any previous marriage ended, if applicable.
• Attend individual consent discussions to confirm your free and genuine consent to marry.
• Complete the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage before the ceremony.
• Have two witnesses aged 18 years or over present at your ceremony.

In limited circumstances, a shortening of the notice period may be granted by an authorised prescribed authority. Approval is not guaranteed.

Both parties must be legally eligible and free to marry at the time of the ceremony.

Health, Safety and Legal Information

Your safety and the safety of your guests are important.

Couples and guests must comply with the health and safety requirements of their chosen venue.

I hold current public liability insurance and conduct all legal marriage ceremonies in accordance with the Marriage Act 1961 (Cth).

Following your ceremony, I will lodge the required marriage documents with NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages within the legally required timeframe. BDM will register your marriage following processing.

Bookings and Availability

Your booking secures a specific ceremony date, time and location. Any changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

Completing an enquiry or tentative booking form does not automatically secure your preferred date.
